Student E-mail

All current students of Victoria College are provided with e-mail.

Did you know that you are provided with a student e-mail address free of charge by the college as long as you are a current student? And you can access your e-mail from any computer that has a connection to the internet?

To access your e-mail account, simply connect to the internet, open your browser, and type the following link in the address bar,

This will take you to The Pirate's Plank. this is the student web portal; it contains links to student resources. Click on the link to Pirate Mail, and when prompted enter your SAM information. The e-mail program works much like Yahoo or Hotmail. You can send and receive messages from any user, create folders, and even keep an address book.


To access your student e-mail through your Yahoo account:

Log on to your account as you usually would then click on Mail Options, located on the upper right-hand side of your screen.

Under Management, click on Mail Accounts. Than click Add, to add a mail account.

Next you must name the account. This is your choice, but it is recommended to name it something along the lines of VC E-mail so that it is easier to distinguish.

The student mail server is and the username and password are your SAM username and password.

Choose the color indicator you like best. This highlights the message once it is downloaded into your inbox so that you know which account it came from.

Then click Setup Mail Server to complete the process.

Next time you login to Yahoo the new account will be listed on the left-hand side of your screen. Click it to check for messages.
