Academic Online often requires a specific screen resolution to operate successfully.
Your screen may flash for a few seconds, and then it will change to the appropriate setting. It may ask you if you want to keep this setting, and/or have a timer counting down. This is there so that if your monitor or video card cannot handle the requested resolution it will revert back to it original state. If this happens your screen goes black, you may be experiencing Video Card problems. In this case, check your driver or contact a computer technician.
